No Library In Langdon? No Problem!

Langdon's Library Access

Langdon may not have its own library, but residents should not be deterred from borrowing books and accessing other services. Langdon and the rest of the Rocky View County fall under the Marigold Library System, and the closest library for residents is the Chestermere Public Library, which is approximately 15 minutes away.

To acquire a library card, those interested can visit any library in the Marigold Library System and become a member to access all their materials both online and in store. The library also offers members a Paperback-by-Mail Service where patrons can get their borrowed items delivered directly to them through the mail if they are unable to visit the library in person.

Not only can patrons borrow books and magazines, but the Chestermere Public Library also offers DVD and music rentals as well. Materials can also be borrowed or reserved online, and the library also has a large collection of eResources that can accessed directly from home on your own electronic device.

The library also offers the opportunity to be social and participate in programs and events throughout the year that are geared towards kids and adults, including the Colour Me Calm and a drop-in Lego program and Storytime. It’s also a great place to work quietly and study – the Chestermere library offers free internet access, printing, copying, and scanning services, and more.

For Langdon residents, the Chestermere Public Library is located in close proximity to the town, and a lot of items can be accessed from their online library. Consider going to the library the next time you need something to read, or a place to study!
